K.Y. worked in the medical profession as a Therapeutic Radiographer before commencing his legal career in 1986. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London in 1986 and then his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong in 1987. K.Y. served several posts ranging from Articled Clerk to Consultant in Messrs. William Sin and So, Solicitors and Notaries, before joining Hau, Lau, Li and Yeung in May 1994 as a Partner.
